The sediment thickened in the lamella clarifier is conveyed into the upper collecting tray of the bag drying station via an eccentric screw pump. A level measurement prevents overflow. From there, the sludge is fed through filling spouts into drying bags, where it is further dewatered.
The degree of drying can be regulated by the standing time. The drained water is returned to the waste water collection tank. Once the degree of drying has been reached, the ball valves are closed and the filled bags are unloaded into the container by opening the clamping rings - ready for removal.
