The contaminated process water is pumped from a collecting tank into the VMD clarifier. There it passes through coated lamellas with a honeycomb structure, which enable a 10-fold higher clarification performance compared to conventional sedimentation towers.
Solids sediment in the hopper and can be further dewatered using a chamber filter press. The purified water can be used for further use in production.
