The sediment thickened in the lamella clarifier is conveyed into the chamber filter press via a compressed air diaphragm pump. The filtrate water runs off via a drip channel and is fed back into the production cycle. The desired degree of dryness of the filter cake is automatically monitored by a water sensor. As soon as the degree of drying is reached, the pressure is released via a relief valve and the press opens hydraulically. The filter cake is then emptied into the container below by a vibrating system.
